A little bit about me:

I am from a small town in Indiana (called "Thorntown"...look it up). I graduated from Purdue University with a degree in mathematics.  My Masters is from UW River Falls.  I have been teaching in St Paul since 1993 and I have been at Highland Park Senior since 2010.  My wife is from St. Paul (she is actually a HPSH graduate).  We have three kids and two golden retrievers.  To stay sane I run (slowly), bike, and paddle.  I build scale models, mostly aviation (especially naval aviation...I have many Tomcat models) and sci-fi.  My favorite genre to read or watch is fantasy.  I've read The Lord of Rings over twenty times, and right now I'm trying to battle through the Wheel of Time books.  I like to balance my geekiness with coolness.  I'll let you decide which is which.
