Staff Profile
Stuart Kraabel
Tchr - Mathematics
Mr. Kraabel has been teaching dance and math at Highland for the past four years, and feels incredibly lucky to get to spend every day with such wonderful students.
His passions for math and dance come from similar places: his appreciation of aesthetics, understanding movement, dynamic changes and relationships, and the construction of meaning through observation and curiosity.
Outside of class, you can find him teaching ballroom and latin dance (group classes and private lessons) at Dancers Studio in Saint Paul with his wife and dance partner, Ella. He and Ella compete on the professional ballroom circuit, in both the professional and pro-am categories across the country. They also co-coach the ballroom dance team at Carleton College, Mr. Kraabel's alma mater and where he discovered his love of dance.
