Staff Profile

Hello! My name is Carissa Franklin. I am a Minnesota native, born and raised on the Southside of Minneapolis. I attended elementary and middle school at FAIR School Downtown and high school at DeLaSalle. I enjoyed volleyball, basketball, and track as sports during high school and continued my track & field career at the University of St Thomas (UST). I graduated from the School of Social Work at the University of St Thomas with my Bachelor's ('16) and Masters degree ('20). I have previous experience in case management and social work services with Saint Paul Public Schools, Eastside Neighborhood Services, Abbott Northwestern Hospital, and Face to Face Health and Counseling Services. 

The 25-26 school year will be my sixth year at Highland Senior High as the General Education Social Worker. I am here to listen, provide support, connect to resources, and advocate. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions!
