Staff Profile
Harley Braun
I have been teaching at Highland Park Senior High since 2020, and I am excited to continue working with students at Highland this year! I teach agriculture, foods, and natural resources (AFNR) classes as well as a career seminar course along with advising the Highland Park FFA Chapter. Students who take classes in the AFNR department will learn about all the areas of agriculture, including plants, animals, food, leadership, and the environment. Depending on their chosen course, students will learn hands-on skills, such as how to grow and propagate plants, how to make food, and how to be a leader in their communities.
I hope my classes are fun, engaging, and encourage students to study topics that interest them!
I am originally from a small town in Southwestern Minnesota called Sleepy Eye. I moved to the Twin Cities to earn my Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Education at the University of Minnesota. I currently live in St. Paul. I love biking, kayaking, eating ice cream, and gardening. I am also interested in fermentation, abolition, soils, labor rights, and educational theory.
