Staff Profile

¡Hola! My name is Alysha Kellner. I currently teach Spanish 1, Spanish 3 and Spanish Immersion 10 at Highland Park Senior High. This will be my 6th year teaching for Saint Paul Public Schools. 

I graduated from the University of Delaware in 2011 with my Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Education and, after taking a year off and teaching sailing, I enrolled in a Masters program at the University of New Hampshire.  During my time at UNH I was able to write my Master's Thesis which served as part of the research for a recently published book "Latin American Technopoetics" by my advisor, Scott Weintraub. Upon completion of my thesis, I graduated with my MA in Spanish Language, Literature and Culture in 2014.

In my free time, I love reading, Netflix/Hulu/HBO (if you want to talk Game of Thrones, I'm all in) and cooking. No apologies for being a diehard Swiftie. My favorite thing to do, though, is spend time with my husband, Ben, our two kids Kora and Coen, Luna, our german shepherd mix and our kitten Peaches.

I am looking forward to a great school year at HPSH. Go Scots!
