Staff Profile

Hello! My name is Señora Romero. I have been teaching in Saint Paul Public Schools (SPPS) for 20 years, and I have been at Highland for the past 10 years. I currently teach Spanish 2, IB Spanish Language A: Language and Literature SL, and IB Spanish Language B HL to Spanish Immersion 12th-grade students.

I grew up in Colombia, where I studied Political Science at St. Thomas University. Later, I earned my Master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language at St. Cloud State University and obtained my Spanish teaching license from the University of Minnesota.

I am passionate about traveling, learning about different cultures, and sharing my love for the Spanish language and culture with my students.
