Welcome to my webpage!

I am Miao Laoshi, originally from Taiwan. I moved to the United States with my husband over 30 years ago to study at the University of Minnesota. We have three adult children. I have been teaching Chinese in SPPS for more than 20 years, a job I love deeply. I believe that teaching is one of the most meaningful professions in the world. Thank you for entrusting your student to our school!

This year, I am teaching Chinese 2, Chinese 3, Chinese 4, Chinese 5, Chinese Immersion 9, and a Scots Strategies 10-12 class. Chinese 3, 4, and 5 are CIS classes. I am also the advisor for the Youth Alive group at HP.

When I’m not working, I enjoy reading the Bible, Bible study, cooking, gardening, and spending quality time with my family.  I look forward to another great school year!
