Beth Kallestad
I have been teaching in St. Paul since 2000 and am happy to be teaching World History this year. I graduated from Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa with a double major in American and World History Secondary Education. I received my M.Ed. from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. Prior to teaching at HPSH, I taught at Arlington High School, which is now Washington Technology Magnet School. I have taught a variety of classes, such as World History, U.S. History, Civics, African-American History, Social Studies, Career Investigations, and Human Geography.
In my free time I enjoy traveling, reading, playing sports, and spending time with my family and friends. My favorite sports teams are the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Vikings. I have traveled to many places throughout the United States and abroad, such as South Korea, Brazil, Jordan, Belize, Israel, and Guatemala.
