Staff Profile

I have been teaching math for over 25 years. My first nine years were at Highland Park Junior High. I have been at Highland Park Senior High since 2004. During my teaching career, I have taught a large variety of math classes from Pre-algebra to Calculus.

I am a product of the St. Paul Schools, having attended St. Anthony Park Elementary, Murray Junior High, and graduated from Como Park Senior High. I received my Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and my Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of St. Thomas.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I like many outdoor activities and I am an avid supporter of the University of Minnesota and its athletic teams. I also enjoyed putting out fires and responding to a variety of incidents as a member of a local volunteer fire department for over 20 years.
