Highland Park Theatre Arts
Our program is open to ANY student interested in theatre. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, students get a rich, professional experience. For each of our productions we have at least one weekend of performances held Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7:00pm with a Saturday matinee at 2:00pm. Rehearsals are generally after school Monday through Friday with some evening rehearsals when needed.
Students involved in technical theatre have the opportunity to learn from area professionals about lighting, costumes, props, sets, make-up, stage management, choreography and directing. From conception to production, students have hands-on participation.
Our booster club - Highland Theatre Friends and Family (HTFF) - recruits from our community of students, their families and friends to sell tickets, merchandise and concessions, fundraise, provide cast meals between performances, and help out with sets or costumes when needed.

Tickets are available at the door - $5.00 for students and seniors, $10.00 for adults.
Performances are Thursday 7:00, Friday 7:00, Saturday 2:00 and 7:00.
Original Traveling Children’s Show (to be named)
This show, created by the cast and director, will travel to local elementary schools within SPPS. We will also have performances on Saturday, October 24th at 2:00pm and 7:00pm.

Welcome to opening night of the Cornley University Drama Society’s newest production, The Murder at Haversham Manor, where things are quickly going from back to utterly disastrous. Party Monty Python, part Sherlock Holmes, this Olivier Aware-winning comedy is a global phenomenon that’s guaranteed to leave you aching with laughter!

It’s just a flesh wound! MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT, lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL, retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features a bevy of beautiful show girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits, and French people—Oh, and did we mention the bevy of beautiful showgirls?
Bursting with unforgettable songs, absurd humor, and zany characters, this musical is a rollicking celebration of all things Monty Python.
Student-Directed One Acts
Dates: March 18-20
A favorite with students and audiences, seniors in the program have the opportunity to choose or write a short play, then cast and direct the play. Our student’s creativity shines through this production and generally welcomes new students to the stage each year.
Puffs Or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at Certain School of Magic and Magic by Matt Cox
Dates: May 6-8
For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs…who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world.
