Theatre Arts

Highland Park Theatre Arts

Our program is open to ANY student interested in theatre. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, students get a rich, professional experience. For each of our productions we have at least one weekend of performances held Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings with a Saturday matinee as well. Rehearsals are generally after school Monday through Friday with some evening rehearsals when needed.

Students involved in technical theatre have the opportunity to learn about lighting, costumes, props, sets, make-up, stage management, choreography and directing. From concepting to production, students have hands on participation.

Our booster club - Highland Theatre Friends and Family - HTFF recruits from our community of students, their families and friends to help build sets, sew costumes and run the front of house for each performance. Contact Nancy Michael if interested -

For all shows: Tickets are available at the door - $5.00 for students and seniors, $10.00 for adults.

Fall Shows -this year we are doing Murder On The Orient Express. Auditions will be September 13 and 14 with performance dates: November 16-18 7:00pm each night and a 2:00pm matinee on Saturday.

Each weekend will feature different plays.  Performances will be January 19-20 and 26-27 with 7:00pm curtain both nights and a 2:00 pm matinee on Saturday.

Spring Musical - this year we will be producing Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Performance dates: April 18-20, with 7:00pm curtain each night and a 2:00pm matinee on Saturday.

Spring Show - Love Sick - a comedy about love gone wrong. Performance dates: May 9-11. Shows are 7:00pm each evening with a 2:00pm matinee on Saturday.
