Theatre Arts
Highland Park Theatre Arts
Our program is open to ANY student interested in theatre. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, students get a rich, professional experience. For each of our productions we have at least one weekend of performances held Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings with a Saturday matinee as well. Rehearsals are generally after school Monday through Friday with some evening rehearsals when needed.
Students involved in technical theatre have the opportunity to learn about lighting, costumes, props, sets, make-up, stage management, choreography and directing. From conception to production, students have hands-on participation.
Our booster club - Highland Theatre Friends and Family - HTFF recruits from our community of students, their families and friends to help build sets, sew costumes and run the front of house for each performance. Contact Nancy Michael if interested - nancy.michael@spps.org
