Tim Hayes

Mr. Hayes has been teaching at Highland Senior since 1995. This is his third and apparently final career. Two weeks after his own high school graduation he hitchhiked to Alaska for what was  supposed to be a six month stay. Ten years  later, after an adventurous  career as a  commercial fisherman he returned to Minnesota.  He then joined the family business, trucking and warehousing, eventually becoming  president of the company. It was during this time that he entered college, planning to further his business knowledge but instead acquiring degrees in English and Spanish and later a Masters degree in Education.  He enjoys teaching, its not as wet as fishing and the busy season for the family business was the summer.
