Sobre la profesora
This is my second year at Highland and my 6th year teaching high school.  After graduating from the University of North Dakota with degrees in Spanish and biology, I moved to Costa Rica where I lived and worked for 10 years.  I taught conversation, literature and biology in English at a private high school while studying for a master's degree in English literature at the Universidad de Costa Rica.  I then returned to the US and received my master's degree in second languages and cultures from the University of Minnesota. 

This summer I am planning a land trip through Central America starting in southern Mexico and traveling through Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panamá by bus.  I would very much like this trip to be an interactive educational opportunity for our Spanish students through the use of video that can be accessed from home via the internet.  Watch for details in Spanish class as we get closer to the end of the year!
