Science Club

2017 Twin Cities Regional Science Fair Participants (minus a handful)
  • The Science Club at Highland Park is a way for students to experience science outside of the classroom and experiment with different subjects of interest. Students will be granted the opportunity to compete in science and engineering competitions, with the chance of scholarships and prizes.

Who are we? Students who want to do more science and explore the world in areas of their interest. Our 2017-2018 Council is as follows:

President: Enrique Vazquez                  Director: Caleb Bowron        Vice President: Veronica Sannes

Executive Board: Luke Chen, Emma McGrew, Alice Andrastak, Joseph Paquet, Nicholas Aaman, Grace Aerts, Michaela Malone, Roland Berg, and Rachel Kodursky

How often will we meet? Once a month.  2017-2018 Dates: Will be announced in September

What do you do in science club? At our monthly meeting, we plan a cool experiment to conduct, and then we check in with one another about our projects. There are a few science-y field trips planned as well.

Why join? Science fair, and other scientific competitions, are amazing experiences that can only benefit your science career. Also, competing in these competitions is a great way to boost your resume! There are numerous opportunities for scholarships plus the connections you make can assist you down the road and when you apply to colleges.
